An unforgettable day for all children and families, which has become an essential part of our organization’s summer, was held for the seventh time in 2020. Despite the pandemic situation, we are pleased that the event was successfully organized during the lowest risk period and welcomed hundreds of children and parents at the Delňa recreational area. The beautiful weather only enhanced the lovely time we spent together, allowing us to forget the struggles of recent months and focus on the present moment among friends.
A sporting experience for the children
At PIEROTT, we do everything we can to support children in health, movement, sports, and talent. Previous years have been themed around tennis, horses, music, singing, and football. For Pierott Day 2020, we made it special by connecting it with the nationwide adrenaline obstacle run, Hero Race. In addition to traditional attractions and entertainment programs like bouncy castles, trampolines, climbing frames, food stalls, and fire department demonstrations, children had the chance to see strongmen and competitors from all over Slovakia. This allowed children to enjoy watching their parents and other men and women tackle the challenging course. These adults inspired the children to overcome their fears and participate in the races as well.
Races for children
A shorter course was prepared for the children, where they could test their abilities, have fun, compete, and earn a heroic medal for their amazing performance at the end. The kids crawled, jumped, ran, ducked, pulled, and lifted. In short, they did everything necessary to discover the little heroes within themselves.
