Every year in August, Pierott has a big giveaway. After giving out toys, creative kits, and sports equipment over the summer, the end of summer brings the time to distribute school supplies. Once again, we managed to bring smiles to the faces of many children whose parents find it difficult to afford new school supplies.
After the large distribution, several families reached out to express their gratitude and sincerity for this significant help. However, one extraordinary thank-you landed in our mailbox, which deeply touched all of us at Pierott. The author is a 9-year-old boy named Luka.
Luka has struggled with severe diagnoses his entire life, and it certainly hasn’t been easy for him. He can’t enjoy sports, fun, school, or play like other children. Yet, despite all this, the new school supplies brought him great joy, and we are very happy that we could contribute in some small way to his learning. We will keep rooting for this little hero on his courageous journey, hoping that one day he can lead a full and fulfilling life.

“Dear Pierott n.o., I am a little boy, I am 9 years old, and my name is Luka Klokoč. I know that by now, I should have been walking like other children and eating by mouth so I could be strong and use my legs for walking. But because I eat very little and my mom feeds me through a PEG tube, I can’t be strong. I don’t really understand what a gift is, and even less that it’s a gift that helps with my health, but I see how happy my parents are that I can exercise and rehabilitate so that one day I can live a full life. And this is also thanks to your help. The gift you sent me made me incredibly happy. I can play, learn, and have fun. I don’t know the past, I live in the present, but I thank you for my future. My parents also join me in thanking you for this gift.”
