Before the start of every school year, families with children set out to buy school supplies. This is typically a time of higher expenses, which can be a burden for many families.
As is our tradition, during this period we support socially disadvantaged families, large families, and single mothers raising children on their own.
In August, we launched the campaign “We Are Giving Away School Supplies.” We greatly appreciate the large number of people—neighbors and acquaintances—who responded to the call and recommended a socially disadvantaged family from their community. Even more touching was the gesture of personally delivering the school supplies to the recommended families.
In the end, we equipped 10 families with school supplies for the new school year, which we believe are helping their children gain the necessary knowledge and skills in the classroom.
Over the past 5 years of the School Campaign, we have helped 50 children thanks to 100 donors, distributing 500 school supplies.
