We can’t imagine summer without PIEROTT DAY. Meeting friends in person, getting to know new people, providing a rich program for the kids, and watching them enjoy it is what we look forward to the most. For the eighth time, PIEROTT DAY, filled with children’s laughter, fun, meetings, games, and attractions, hosted hundreds of families at the Delňa recreational area in Prešov. After another challenging year, it was wonderful to see the children playing and engaging in sports again. Perfect weather added to the pleasant experience, which we, and we believe the attendees, will fondly remember.
A sporting experience for the children
Following the positive feedback from last year, we decided to once again combine PIEROTT DAY 2021 with the successful Hero Race – a nationwide adrenaline obstacle run. This allowed the children to not only enjoy attractions and programs designed for them but also to witness the incredible performances of young and older athletes, as well as recreational sports enthusiasts who simply love to move. These competitors tackled dozens of obstacles, and their determination, fighting spirit, and eventual finish served as the best example for the watching children. To add to the excitement, this year’s guests included hockey players from the extraleague team HC Prešov, who signed autographs and took photos with the kids.
Races for children
The unbelievable became a reality. Almost 130 children from all over Slovakia lined up at the start of a course dedicated just for them. The mini version of the adult course was an enticing challenge, and the children tackled obstacle after obstacle with enthusiasm. At the finish line, each one was rewarded with a medal and a commemorative diploma.
